Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Coventry and Gillingham.

Coventry maintained their impressive unbeaten start to the new season with a battling 1-0 home victory over Gillingham.

Dominic Hyam's 26th-minute goal proved the difference between the two sides at St Andrew's as the Sky Blues claimed a fine win.

It was Coventry's third league win and stretched their unbeaten start to six games in all competitions.

Scottish defender Hyam tapped home from close range for the hosts on his first start this season, the goal proving enough to frustrate the visiting Gills who remain winless this term.

Hyam was never going to miss for his first goal for nearly a year - since September 2018 in fact - as Mark Robins' confident charges deservedly made sure of three points.

Zain Westbrooke assisted from the corner and all the unmarked Hyam had to do was poke home.

Forward Matt Godden had a header from a Wesley Jobello's cross brilliantly saved by keeper Jack Bonham, while Westbrooke had a half-volley deflected wide for a corner.

Gillingham striker Alex Jakubiak saw a shot well-saved by Coventry goalkeeper Mark Marosi, before first-half substitute Mikael Ndjoli blasted wide from an acute angle for the Gills.

Ndjoli had a late change to snatch an equaliser but Marosi pulled off an excellent save to deny him.
