The Johnston stable won this in 2017 and Peace Walk is one of several interesting debutants being a half-brother to two winners. Richard Hannon has won it a couple of times and introduces Dimsons, who is out of a mare that has produced winners with her first two foals to race, but experience could be key. Battle Cry was only beaten half-a-length at Down Royal on only his second outing but is unlikely to be a star name at Ballydoyle. Zain Blue can build on his second at Newmarket but the form of UNDER THE SUN’s run at Ascot last time was franked when the winner finished second in a Listed race next time and Hugo Palmer’s colt can make it third-time lucky. Kings Valley was third behind a subsequent Listed winner at Ascot and is also respected while Windsor fourth Ever Driven is a brother to the smart Ever Given so has bags of scope.
