SARISKA has proved to be the best middle distance filly in training this season by winning the English and Irish Oaks and gets the positive vote to add to her winning tally in the Yorkshire equivalent, while both Dar Re Mi and Barshiba will fight it out for the minor honours. The selection scored at this track back in May and was held in high regard by her trainer Michael Bell. She did not disappoint by winning the Oaks at Epsom and proved her versatility by bolting up in heavy conditions at the Curragh last time out. She is equally at home on a faster surface and should have no problems adding another Group 1 to her score sheet. Dar Re Mi finished second in this race last year behind Lush Lashes and proved she has lost none of her zest by winning the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh last time out. She enters this race in great form and therefore warrants plenty of respect. Barshiba won the Lancashire Oaks at Haydock last month followed by a listed contest at Newmarket thereafter. She was however outclassed in the Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood last time out and place prize money is the best she can hope for this time around. Sariska has already proved she is the best and another Group 1 prize is hers for the taking.
