Verdict

The unbeaten ROYAL ACLAIM (NAP) won a Listed race over course and distance in a manner that suggested she was ready for the step up to this level. James Tate’s filly looks worth sticking with having easily accounted for last year’s winner Winter Power last time. The latter beat both Emaraaty Ana and Dragon Symbol last season but Highfield Princess looks a bigger danger having won at the highest level in France recently after landing a Group 2 sprint over 6f here back in May. Flotus is another down in distance on the back of a Group 3 success on the Knavesmire but Khaadem beat Raasel a neck when winning the King George Stakes over the minimum trip at Goodwood and is preferred. It’s been sometime since a two-year-old won this but Richard Fahey lets The Platinum Queen take her chance having won here before landing a conditions' race at Goodwood.
