Pats Choice looked a likely future winner when a close second over this trip at Leopardstown but jumped poorly at Limerick so did well to finish runner-up. Stable companion and Kelso bumper winner Come On Du Berlais was beaten a long way into second on her hurdling bow at Roscommon but QUEL REVE was an impressive bumper winner at Tramore and quickly has her attention trained on hurdling, where she can make a winning start. Edge Of My Seat made a promising debut over timber at Roscommon and started favourite at Sligo but weakened quickly on the Flat after being up with the pace throughout.
