A low draw doesn't look a positive and so Monsieur Joe is one of several passed over in favour of HOOF IT. Mick Easterby's gelding has had a great season, and paid with the handicapper as a result, however this five furlongs on rain-softened ground looks ideal. His mark of 81 still looks manageable and from a nice draw he can return to the winners' enclosure. Perfect Blossom is another horse on the up and she shows no sign of stopping with her great pace and cruising speed ideally suited to this track, Kingsgate Choice remains capable of better now dropped back to five furlongs with Robert Winston back on board, whilst Beat Baby is a progressive colt who is feared. The race should be run to suit Mon Brav and he joins La Fortunata, chasing her hat-trick, on the rather lengthy list of dangers.
