CAPPONI can further enhance the decent record of three-year-old's in recent years. Mark Johnston's gelding won impressively here in July before acquitting himself well at Goodwood over ten furlongs. That form has been franked and coupled with the drop back in trip being in his favour a bold bid looks on the cards. The ground should be ideal for bottom-weight Navajo Chief, the locally-trained Extraterrestrial is now very attractively handicapped, whilst Vainglory, Noble Citizen and Proponent are all consistent but perhaps a tad high in the weights. A bigger threat might be Al Muheer who has caught the eye since going to the yard of David Nicholls, Tiger Reigns who would love any rain, and the classy top two of Acrostic and Stoic who are both regulars in the big mile handicaps during the year.
