This is a hugely competitive contest in which Ingleby Arch, Borehan and Tawaassol look to the leading lights with the vote given to Tawaassol. The selection has won two of his four starts, both on fast ground and he looked like one to stay on the right side of last time when he beat Imperial Sword at Haydock. He showed signs of being a bit green that day so he should come on for the run and with this in mind he gets our vote. Ingleby Arch is a colt on the upgrade and he won well last time time when beating Obe Brave at Hamilton. However, this is much more competitive and at the forecast odds we are happy to take him on. Borehan has won three of his five starts and he scored in impressive fashion at Newmarket when beating Signor Peltro. That was on soft ground and the return to this faster surface will play to his strengths and he should be capable of making the frame. River Bravo won well last time and remains lightly-raced, but he is bred to be better over a slightly longer trip so we are prepared to oppose him on this occasion. Imperial Sword is another that looks to have a solid place chance, but Tawaassol created a favourable impression last time and is nominated as our selection.
