After missing his juvenile campaign, Lapilli made up for lost time by winning three out of four last season though at a lower level than this and he hasn't been seen since August. Paul Midgley has three entries including Tylery Wonder, a very impressive winner at the last meeting though now 8lb higher and drawn high. Paul Hanagan's presence on Desert Law for the stable catches the eye as his mount has been racing in better company as has EAST STREET REVUE, from an in-form yard and a winner of a tough three-year-old handicap here in August. The latter is well drawn and just gets the vote as though Lucky Beggar looked a bit unlucky at Chester, he could have done without a 2lb rise and is very closely matched with third-placed Stanghow, who has since won in a lower grade at Beverley.
