Verdict

Oh This Is Us has placed in Pattern company since winning at the All-Weather Championships in April and will go close with a repeat of a recent second in the Diomed at Epsom. Wadilsafa landed a Listed race at Sandown last year for which he’s penalised but was nowhere near his best at Ascot on his reappearance and a tongue-tie is applied today. SIR DANCEALOT still has something to prove over a mile having faded in the closing stages of last month’s Lockinge at Newbury. But that was his first start since December and David Elsworth’s charge looks worth another try over today’s trip escaping a penalty for winning last year’s Group 2 Hungerford Stakes over 7f. Happy Power and Raakib Alhawa are receiving weight from the older horses but still have plenty to prove at this level.
