The three-year-old's get a generous 9lb weight allowance from their older rivals here which could play a part; Market Forces is one of those who benefits and coming here in good form, he gets the vote ahead of Traprain and Trance. The selection comes here on the back of a comfortable success at HQ and Henry Cecil's filly seems to be improving with every race. She stays well, and as long as this isn't one race too many for her, she can win again. Treason Trial won this race in 2004 and 2005 but surely faces too tough a task from 6lb out of the weights, so of more interest may be the dual-performer Traprain. A winner of a claiming hurdle last time, Declan Carroll's gelding could be a force to be reckoned with of this mark of 76. Apache Fort is very consistent but whilst he has run well over this trip before, his wins have come at shorter. Hernando's Boy is one to watch in the market returning from a hefty absence, whilst Mister Arjay stays well and won at a big price when last seen on the Knavesmire. Trance acts on most ground but wouldn't want torrential rain, whilst first-time blinkers on Alaghiraar may help to straighten out this unexposed contender. At a price Marsam could go well if stripping fitter for his recent outing, however Market Forces looks progressive and is selected to win again.
