An open maiden where the betting will help guide however without that information we will side with Mystery Star ahead of newcomers Tighnabruaich and Ghizlaan. The last-named cost a whopping $600,000 and whilst that guarantees nothing, market support could well be worth heeding. However Mystery Star has already proven that he has ability and he could be capable of going one better than when second on debut at Newmarket. So far, progeny of Derby winner Kris Krin are yet to really prove themselves but the selection looks promising and if able to build on his debut run, then he can win today. Pondapipe and La Fortalesa should both build on promising debut efforts, whilst No To Trident was only beaten in a photograph last time out although he is looking a little exposed. Tighnabruaich is an interesting contender; Michael Jarvis' son of Rainbow Quest cost 80,000 guineas and looks to be starting off at the right sort of trip. Bright Falcon is another newcomer to consider for trainer Dan Murphy, however Mystery Star is the one we like.
