Godolphin won this race last year with Army Of Angels and whilst they have a strong hand here with Gongidas and Amarna, it is the progressive Zaahid who gets the vote with Wigwam Willie capable of running into a place. The selection has proven himself on ground with plenty of cut in and from a decent draw he is fancied to follow up his win at Haydock. Another flat track here and he is taken to defy a 5lb rise in the weights. Amarna looks the pick of Godolphin's duo on jockey bookings and he must be respected despite a reversal at even money last time out. Whilst he is two out of two for Frankie, stablemate Gongidas had formed a good partnership with Kerrin McEvoy but with the Australian back in his homeland for the time, he will be hoping to continue his winning streak for Ted Durcan. He is proven on the ground, along with Nevada Desert. He is capable of a big run from the front but may need some luck from an average draw. Orpen Wide and Bid For Glory both need to bounce back from lamentable runs but both may prefer it quicker, so of more interest may be Kinsya who is effective on this, and other flat tracks. Gentleman's Deal seems to be an all-weather horse, so whilst any money for a David Barron runner should be heeded, it is Zaahid who we fancy to win again.
