In the opener, Emily's Place is selected ahead of Abbondanza and Ella Y Rossa. Abbondanza left the impression he was a little unlucky last time when debuting on the all-weather. As such, this 68-rated Ayr winner has to be considered. Our Kes, the winner that day, is now six pounds worse off with him for three-and-a-half lengths. However, the second from that race, Emily's Place, is nine pounds better off for a short head with Our Kes, and the third, Kansas Gold, is six pounds better off for three quarters of a length. Turning to the others and Alekhine has run a couple of shockers on Turf this season but a repeat of his November Kempton win would give him claims, multiple course and distance winner Climate should be competitive from his current mark, although his wins lately have come in claimers and he lacks a recent run, and Ella Y Rossa caught the eye at Lingfield last time and, up in trip today, looks set to go well. For the selection, though, we will stick with Emily's Place.
