Verdict

A slightly disappointing way to end a good card at York and Thingemebob and Hearts 'n Minds may be the two to concentrate on - despite the obvious lure of the connections of Flash Of Gold. However, Thingemebob, who was far from disgraced in finishing eighth in the Oaks, has already shown that a race of this nature is well within the reach of her capabilities. The booking of Philip Robinson will ensure that she is kept up to her work in the closing stages and she is expected to have too much left at the finish for Hearts 'n Minds.
