This is another highly competitive heat and Spanish John, who has already proved himself to be a very smart stayer, is just selected over the ultra-tough Hugs Dancer and Putra Sandhurst. The Paul Cole team excel with horses of this nature and Spanish John, who first showed his class when winning the Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket last year, can add to his tally if he runs anywhere near that level today. Hugs Dancer and Putra Sandhurst will not go down without a fight and have to be feared as live dangers but are unlikely to be available at a value price here. Supremacy is also proven as a Listed Class performer but has a few questions to answer after his antics at Newcastle last time. It would be folly to suggest that effort was a true indication of his form but the value here lays with a modest stakes approach with Spanish John.
