An ultra-competitive sprint handicap to open the card at York but Dorchester, who was second in the race last year off only a 2lb lower mark, is taken to get the better of Forever Times, Armagnac and Time To Remember. The Willie Musson-trained selection held his form well throughout the course of last season but still started this campaign on a fair mark on the pick of his form. He may just have needed his latest two outings after his winter break and comes here on the back of a good effort over course and distance last month. He is weighted to reverse that form with Time To Remember and, as he acts on any ground, he should make a bold bid from a fair draw. Forever Times has also held her form well of late but the fact that she has only won once since October 2001 highlights that she probably has place claims again at best today. Smart Predator is another to throw into the mix as he has returned to something like his best of late and he has to be considered as a live danger to them all from his current rating. However, he is unlikely to be given any peace up front today and may find the finishing kick of Dorchester too tough to deal with today.
