The Osteopath is in great form but this new mark of 94 makes life tough; the same probably applies to Tartan Gigha and so we will side with ANGEL ROCK with Frankie Dettori taking the ride for the first time. Marco Botti's son of Rock Of Gibraltar tries the cheek-pieces for the first time this afternoon after a fair run here last time. He races off the same mark of 85 today and with the previous track experience likely to stand him in good stead he should run well, especially if there is further rain. Charlie Tipple disappointed last time and the stable's horses are hit and miss, although his jockey has a good record on him, whilst Osteopathic Remedy and The Osteopath give Michael Dods a strong hand but both are moving up the weights. Flawed Genius had a confidence booster in a claimer the other day, Esoterica is a course winner for whom the step back up in trip is no problem, whilst City Of The Kings will find this much tougher than at Ripon last time but is only 1lb higher today. This is a drop in class for Lang Shining; he was last seen as a pacemaker for Conduit in the Eclipse but is of more interest back in handicaps, given his second in a valuable Sandown handicap last September off just a 1lb lower mark. Webbow and Final Verse both have bits of form that could see them go very close, but perhaps of more interest is Kay Gee Bee whose third to Confront at Newmarket in May reads well. Tartan Gigha should appreciate this lesser company and quicker ground and should continue his progression, however it is Angel Rock that gets the nod.
