A moderate contest to commence proceedings here and FEELING FRESH is given the vote ahead of Magical Song and Elkhorn. The Paul Green-trained selection returns to six furlongs here, a trip over which he has enjoyed both his career wins. If anything, he is unproven on good to firm, but he does act on the Polytrack, which is quick enough, and so there is hope that he will not be hindered by conditions. He is back below his previous winning mark, so he has the ability for this and we will side with him. Magical Song was runner-up over course and distance in a similarly moderate contest last time out, and he races from the same mark tonight. He will come into his own if there is plenty of pace on here, as he stays further, and he should go close. Elkhorn seems to reserve his best for Redcar where he has won four times, but his only other success came here, and he seems to handle any ground, which is also a positive. Julie Camacho has her string in form and so from a decent mark he could be the biggest threat to the selection. Steel Blue is a light of former days, when he would have romped home from his current mark, while Colombard has been on the slide for far too long and Feeling Fresh is the one for us.
