This is a race that has produced plenty of shocks in recent years. Jack Dexter ran well to finish third last year behind 40/1 winner Glass Office and can go well again, though he was over six lengths behind Magical Memory when the latter beat Tupi and Mattmu narrowly in a Group 3 at Newmarket last month. There's nothing between that latter trio again though the winner always just looked to be doing enough. Twilight Son lost his unbeaten record when runner-up to Muhaarar in the British Sprint Champion's race at Ascot. The Betfred Sprint Cup winner had DANZENO just behind and has more scope than his year-older rival but a 6lb pull in the weights at this stage of the season might be enough to turn the tables. Dick Whittington, a Group 1 winner over 6f as a juvenile, has shown nothing in two starts over further subsequently but in no way should be written off.
