Delightfully tricky and from a shortlist of Steel Stockholder, Avenuesnalleyways and WILLIAM MORGAN, it is the last-named who is given the tentative nomination. Richard Fahey specialises in big handicaps at the track and this consistent gelding should be happier here than at Chester last time. His earlier second to Derghaam in May wasn't too bad considering he got worked up before the start and off a mark of 77 he is fancied to run a big race. Salerosa is well-handicapped if bouncing back to form, Mandalay King is a course winner and is consistent, whilst Avenuesnalleyways is yet to really prove his effectiveness away from Kempton. Of more interest is Steel Stockholder who has been given a break and Mel Brittain has booked Franny Norton for today's assignment, Saharia shapes as if he might laugh at this mark of 81 at some point, whilst Dancing Maite and Fishforcompliments join Mujaadel on the list of horses who come here with solid recent form to their names. Toto Skyllachy is up 3lb for his narrow beating of Habshan at Doncaster whilst Euston Square is well-handicapped on his old form and needs a market check. The return to this trip will suit Sunnandaeg who was well-backed last time, whilst last-year's winner Smarty Socks is respected along with Northern Fling. Loads to consider but the nod goes to William Morgan.
