A competitive event with a number of unexposed and potentially well handicapped types in opposition. Tim Easterby has a good record here and recent Thirsk maiden winner, Bollin Jeannie, looks sure to go well off a mark of just 69 on her handicap bow while Masterpoint, successful in a Newmarket maiden which is working out well, takes a drop in grade having been outclassed in the Gimcrack last time. The in-form Wittily and Sheriff Shift are others to consider in an open heat but marginal preference is for Irresistible. Michael Bell's charge is progressing along the right lines judged on a recent Newcastle conditions event victory and looks capable of further improvement for the step up to this trip.
