Into The Dark is the pick to complete a hat-trick over Credi, Larkwing and Secretary General. The Godolphin inmate has been slow to mature, hence the fact that he only saw the racecourse for the first time at Doncaster in June. Sporting a visor for his debut, he duly obliged and then went on to land a class C Handicap at Newmarket with the minimum of fuss. The son of Rainbow Quest now tackles a mile and a half but will relish the trip, given the fact that he was entered for the St Leger at one point. He should be able to dictate matters here and see off a host of challengers, the best of whom may be Credit who was most unlucky in running when a close second to Nightspot at Newbury. He has plenty of experience and is a battler so will give a good account, as should Larkwing, a most consistent sort this term. Secretary General has more to do than when beaten by Henry Cecil's Invasion at Folkestone, while the rest have a job on, although Etmaam would enter calculations if recapturing his early-season form. Into The Dark has the most scope though and can defy topweight.
