Apex is taken to follow up his Newbury success at the expense of Onlytime Will Tell, Smart Hostess and Mystic Man. Kieren Fallon has been booked to ride Apex again, so Ed Dunlop's charge is sure to be a popular choice after his fairly emphatic victory over The Jobber at Newbury. The son of Efisio always performs better with cut in the ground and with conditions in his favour today, a small rise in the weights should not stop him from from going close. Mystic Man hails from a stable in form and shaped well enough when fourth at Newcastle last time. Onlytime Will Tell won comfortably at Windsor and any money for him would be interesting. Amanda Perrett sends up Khabfair who has been a little disappointing of late, while Aleutian seems to have gone off the boil as well. Pinchbeck has been in and out but is not to be ruled out entirely either, but Apex appears to be on the upgrade and gets the vote.
