Most of these have disappointed at one time or another, but Astromancer is in good heart at the moment and is selected to beat Ambersong and Diamond Orchid. Astromancer landed her first race in 17 attempts when beating Ipledgeallegiance at Redcar last time, form that isn't that hot, but the manor of the victory was eye-catching as she fought back well in the final furlong after looking beaten. With the same determination this evening she can make it back to back wins. Diamond Orchid took a similar event at Windsor recently and must be in the shake up despite top-weight. However Ambersong may be more of a threat. He had some very good form over this trip last season and looked to be returning to his best at Folkestone last time when a close up third behind Cantrip. In conclusion it is a race full of unreliable horses, but Astromancer is given a chance to show some consistency.
