Verdict
James Fanshawe's Bronze Star is less exposed than most of these after just eight career starts and the son of Mark Of Esteem has shown enough in recent starts to suggest that he can take the honours here and he is taken to do so at the main expense of Pochard and Broughtons Revival. The last mentioned makes her debut on turf today after four starts on the all-weather and has to be of interest in a race that should not take a great deal of winning, particularly if the market speaks in her favour. Turner's Touch has yet to prove that he handles ground this soft, while Amwell Brave similarly has his best form on a faster surface. A market move for James Eustace's lightly raced Pochard would have to be of interest but preference is for Bronze Star, who is taken to gain a deserved success.
