    Verdict

Cornerstone is the pick over Libre, October Ben and Mugeba to name but a few. This looks pretty wide open in truth, but Cornerstone shaped as though there was now more to come when opening his account at Lingfield last month, a first-time visor having the desired effect. Suprisingly, given that he is trained by Stuart Williams, there did not seem to be a lot of money for him in the ring that day, but there was no fluke about his win, and he should easily handle a small rise. Libre hung in the closing stages when runner-up at Chepstow last time, but even so that was his best effort for some time, while October Ben showed promise in an apprentice affair at Newbury. Mugeba has claims on earlier form, and Vietnam should not be left out of calculations after his gutsy Sandown victory. There are many to choose from here, with the pin coming down on Cornerstone.
