Captain Colby won a higher grade sprint than this last year and may be back to his best on only his third start of the year. Gentlemen is capable at this level but not the most straightforward in the stalls and was slowly away again last time. Doctor Sardonicus and Elronaq need to improve as they drop in class while David's Duchess and Yeeoow were both thereabouts in this grade last time. MERHOOB won over 7f before going close at Ascot over today’s trip. A similar effort should see John Ryan’s charge bang there at the finish once again and he gets the vote.
