Verdict
Donatavium looks the one to beat here with Magaling the most likely to chase him home. John Gosden's gelding is already rated 87 after finishing seventh, beaten ten lengths in the Windsor Castle at Ascot. That was the first time that he had sported the blinkers but they are left off today and he should prove hard to beat, despite the likelihood that his mark flatters him. Magaling has shown ability in two starts to date and his Gyr form from Goodwood last time looks solid; this Medicean colt must be a huge danger. Tarzan represents a stable going well and should have learnt from his debut fifth, whilst Mr Redford and Minenotyours would need to improve markedly on what we have seen to date in order to trouble the principles. Newcomers Celtic Rebel and Spinight should be monitored for market support, however it is Donatavium who receives the vote.
