In depth

Verdict

Vietnam was a smooth winner last time out and can follow up again this afternoon, Iron Dancer and Etoile d'Or could be the main rivals. The selection got the better of today's rival Etoile d'Or by two lengths in a decent enough race at Nottingham on similar ground to today's. The one concern is that he has two furlongs extra to travel and his other attempts at this distance have been poor. However he looks an improved performer now and this is a weak event. Etoile d'Or is better off at the weights and should get a lot closer today. Meanwhile Iron Dancer may improve for the dramatic step up in trip. Ful Of Grace may do best of the others, but Vietnam comes here at the top of his game and he gets our vote.
