In depth

Verdict

Selina's Star, runner-up here last time, remains a consistent sort and Howarth is value for his 5lb claim. She merits consideration along with Rewilding who has returned from a break in much better form and has a top-class 5lb apprentice in the saddle. He's a temptation but MUCKY MULCONRY is proving most consistent at this level and seems equally at home on the grass and artificial surfaces. He ran well over this trip on both starts last month, including when just inched out here. Neil Callan looks a good booking and the ex-Ger Lyons gelding should go well again. All four of Doctor Mozart's wins have come on the all-weather which tempers enthusiasm somewhat and Victors Dream and Byefornow make greater shortlist appeal with Idiopathic suggested as a hopeful outsider.
