HUNTDOWN can restrict Magaling to minor honours once more with Al Mugtareb and Bajan Tryst others that could challenge for a share of the place prize money. Magaling seemingly failed to handle the track at Goodwood when sent off favourite for a good maiden at the track's big meeting but had no excuses when turned over at odds-on by a stablemate of the selection over course and distance. He still holds an entry in the Dewhurst but connections of the selection also have lofty ambitions for their charge as he is in the Racing Post Trophy. He was only beaten a short-head in a well contested Newmarket maiden (the form of which has received a few boosts) and he can make the necessary improvement required to go one better. Bajan Tryst ran a fair race at Ripon and should find a race in time, comments which also apply to Al Mugtareb who was not disgraced in a small field at Newmarket. Moves for one or any of the newcomers would be of interest but they will have to be above average to get the better of one or both of the principals and Huntdown makes a good bit of appeal.
