Kritzia was very impressive at Great Leighs but her efforts on polytrack have surpassed those on turf to date so we'll overlook her and side with CAPSTAN. Caffari may provide the biggest threat to that pair. Luca Cumani's charge steps up in trip this afternoon but both his pedigree and the way that he has performed to date are enough to think that he will be well suited by the extra distance. Ryan Moore only has a modest record for the yard but his booking has to be viewed as a positive and this unexposed half-brother to Boreas may well come into his own now granted a stiffer test of stamina. Kritzia sprinted away from the field over a mile six last time and, consequently, it's no great surprise to see her turned out quickly under a penalty. She has only encountered soft surfaces to date on grass and may benefit from the faster conditions but with doubts about the quick reappearance and the suitability of conditions, she's taken on. Caffari flopped on her one run beyond a mile and a half but that wasn't her true form and she's worth another try at this distance; in fact, it could well bring about some improvement. Flam's another potential improver for the longer trip but looks to have been set a stiff enough task by the assessor whereas the selection appears fairly treated as long as Capstan finds the expected improvement for the trip.
