Habshan has not done a great deal wrong of late but Chris Wall's gelding may be a shade high in the weights at present, while Bailieborough has more to do than when winning at Redcar last time and preference is for Baskerville. The selection has been off the track for three months but Peter Chapple-Hyam has his string in good form so lack of a recent run need not be of concern, while the faster ground here should actually suit better than the softer conditions that he has previously raced on. The old campaigner Calcutta still retains some ability but is proving to be hard to win with, while Pab Special has more to do than when finally opening his account in a Ripon maiden last time. My Princess should do better back up in trip to a mile, having found seven furlongs too sharp last time, but preference is for Baskerville who gets the vote.
