Sir Michael Stoute has won this event twice in the last three years and has solid claims of taking the prize again with Audit who should come on a bundle for his Newmarket debut last month but preference is for Jaasoos, who gets the vote ahead of Cleide da Silva. The last mentioned is an interesting American-bred newcomer from the yard of Jeremy Noseda that is now back among the winners and has the assistance of Frankie Dettori. She makes more appeal on her debut than Ed Dunlop's Nice To Know and Luca Cumani's Monte Alto who both come from yards that normally leave plenty to work on with their juveniles first time out. Fine Ruler and Royal Rationale both showed promise on their first starts and have to be considered although more solid claims are probably held by Audit. Sir Michael Stoute's colt was a well held second of four on his first start but it was a run that is likely to be improved upon here. However, the Michael Jarvis-trained Jaasoos, who only went down by a length on his debut at Epsom last month and should be much better suited by the faster ground today and he is the selection.
