The last race on the card is run over a marathon trip of two miles and truth be told it is a pretty poor contest but the finish should be fought out between DAVANA, Delorian and Sunny Spells with Davana just getting the nod. The selection was beaten by a real improver on its last run and seems to be improving herself. She races from the right end of the handicap and with a decent three lbs claimer on board should go well. Delorian seems to be enjoying his racing this year and is probably a little bit better than his mark gives him credit for. He has put in three solid efforts in a row and does look poised to win a race of this nature. The one concern with the Jerry O'Dwyer ridden horse is the conditions. He ran very last week on soft ground but if handling this quicker going he should be in the shake up. Sunny Spells has very similar form to the favourite. Both have been beaten by the improver Mountain Forest. Stuart Williams does well at this track and has been amongst the winners so Willie Carson's mount should go close but he has to give lumps of weight to Davana and we'll stick with the filly.
