The speedy SILVER LINNET can hopefully burn off Fair Passion and Jack My Boy in this five furlong contest. The selection is not a confident one as there are numerous front runners in the race. However we were very impressed with her last two starts showing great speed along with a willing attitude to win both starts. If William Buick can bag the favoured far side rail she may well be able to burn off her rivals. Derek Shaw's Fair Passion is very much on the up and has a similar level of form to the favourite but she may just struggle to cope with Silver Linnet's early speed. Another negative for the Shaw runner is this is her first run on grass. She may not handle conditions and if sent off a short price there is value elsewhere in the race. That value may come from Jack My Boy who unlike some of his rivals has already had a season pipe opener. He should reverse York form with Yuritini at these weights and is one for each-way backers.
