A fair bit here depends on whether Si Belle can handle this surface, but if she does then she looks more than capable of following up her Southwell success, while Fairfield Flame and Bouggler may prove best of the rest. Si Belle dotted up by an eased down nine lengths over 12f last time and the way she won suggested that this extra quarter-of-a-mile would prove no barrier to further success. However, the ground is the key here, as she switches from the slower fibresand to a faster turf surface on which she is unproven. Though her sire's pedigree suggests she wants it softer, there is more confidence to be gained from a look at her dam's side of things and she is worth chancing. Fairfield Flame is proven over the trip with a good ground Nottingham win on her CV, but she was beaten when raised by the handicapper last time and may now be in his grip. Bouggler has put up a couple of decent runs in defeat over 12f and although he acts on the ground this may be stretching his stamina a bit, and Sonny Sam may be able to come home stronger. Kiribati King is back on a handy enough mark but also has his stamina to prove over this far and we prefer the claims of Si Belle.
