In depth

Verdict

Grand Ocean gets the confident vote with Wansdyke Lass and Blinis rated as the main dangers. The selection, an expensive yearling purchase, made a pleasing debut when a good second behind Accomplish at Southwell. He ran a bit green that day but he is sure to benefit from the experience and he looks the one to beat. Wansdyke Lass has shown a modicum of ability and she is eased in grade here, but she looks to have a little to find with our selection, although it would be no surprise to see her go well. Blinis improved on his debut effort when finishing fourth behind Sunset Strip at Wolverhampton last time, but he will need to continue that improvement to get competitive today. Josear is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market, but for the winner we return to Grand Ocean.
