In depth

Verdict

A wide open looking opener with Little Wosall, Viscount Baker, Cloudy Bay Boy and Coole Glen all worthy of a mention but the vote goes to the last named. Coole Glen finished second of five on his latest appearance under rules at Fakenham last month but has since then managed a win between the flags. He comes into this race fit and well and should be a value bet. Cloudy Bay Boy comes from the powerful Caroline Bailey yard who do well in these events. The horse has been winning points during the winter and even though he has not been seen under rules for some time is worth consideration. Little Worsall is another who comes into the race on the back of two wins between the flags. He has not run or performed well under rules for a few years but is worth noting in the market. Viscount Baker ran well to finish a close third over two miles at Cheltenham last month and although this is further he is another who could go close. But for the winner we return to Coole Glen.
