In the finale, I Predict A Riot is selected ahead of El Alamein, Mickmacmagoole and Sa Nau. Running through these, Mickmacmagoole put a period of controversy behind him when winning well at Haydock two runs ago. A ten-pounds rise from that effort does not rule him out of being competitive today, we feel. Sir Mark Prescott won this race last year and his lightly-raced seasonal debutant El Alamein holds every chance of building on his current rating this time around. Watch the betting market for clues. Mabel was just denied over course and distance last time from a one-pound lower mark than today and can go well again, while I Predict A Riot was beaten a whisker at Warwick last time and, much as he has been raised five pounds for that run, it looks fair and he can go well. Sa Nau is on a competitive mark, we feel, while Domenico is now eight pounds lower than when winning this race two years ago, but he will have to build on recent efforts if he is to feature. Finally, Sir Duke is lightly-raced enough to be respected based on his overall form. All of which returns us to the selection, which is I Predict A Riot.
