In the opener, Miss Invincible is selected from a short list that also contained Keycavern and Force Celebre. Blinkered for the first time and dropping to this grade for the first time also, Force Celebre has to be considered here. Much as he has not built on his all-weather promise, his two disappointing Turf runs have come on soft going and today's better going could see a different outcome. The chances of Italian raider Keycavern might best be gauged by the betting. Slavonic Lake came in for good support last time when second in a Classified Stakes race and, given that this is his level really, he cannot be ruled out. Miss Invincible seemed to show improvement over a mile in a claimer last time and could improve for the step up in trip today, and she also races in a first-time visor, while Jamie Osborne's Camp Counsellor is capable of running into a place. Finally, Poyle Ruby might improve dropped to this grade for the first time and Holyfield Warrior has shown enough in two maidens to be given some sort of thought. For the selection though - a tentative one - we will side with Miss Invincible.
