The in-form SINGORA LADY wins a slender vote of confidence over General Tufto and Mick Is Back. The last named has paid his way with a number of victories during the last three seasons, so cannot be confidently ruled out. He does, however, need to up his game considerably after his last two starts left a lot to be desired. General Tufto won off a 2lb higher mark at Beverley in May but has seen his form dip a long way since then. Still, he did run an encouraging race last time out so is not a lost cause. Others to bear in mind at longer odds include King Of Connacht, who has the capability to win stashed away somewhere in his locker. He would be a threat if it could be guaranteed he would run to his best. Forced Opinion is also worth noting in the betting as he is unexposed on turf and wouldn't need to adapt his game much to make the frame in this company. However, Singora Lady easily has the best recent profile and assuming she has taken her recent exertions well, the mount of Ryan Moore is fancied to brush aside her 6lb penalty today.
