Thewinnatakesitall and Oh So Spicy are short-listed in a modest contest but a sporting chance is taken with HARLEY FERN. Terry Clement's filly showed little in three starts for another yard over a two year period and has been well held on two starts for this yard this term but in the face of stiff tasks. There was more encouragement to be taken from her latest effort at Pontefract where she wasn't too far behind some rivals with significantly higher ratings; the move into handicap company should suit, the first time cheekpieces may bring about some improvement and the booking of a capable apprentice is also a plus. Oh So Spicy disappointed at Leicester but it would be no surprise to see her bounce back from that now handicapping and she rates highly as does Thewinnatakesitall who is better judged on the form of her penultimate run at Ayr where she stayed on well over the minimum on soft ground. Picansort is another newcomer to handicapping that needs a market check whilst it would be no surprise to see Summers Target or A Pocketful Of Rye go well but Harley Fern may just outrun her odds and is suggested.
