In depth

Verdict

Broken Reed can break his maiden tag over hurdles first time of asking to the expense of Mungo Jerry and Siber Mond. A winner of a point to point earlier on in the season Broken Reed looks the type to improve and continue winning ways under rules. It does remain to be seen whether this shorter trip will suit but the yard generally does well with their horses this time of year so is worth staying on the right side of. Mungo Jerry was above average on the flat and made a pleasing debut at Market Rasen before being slightly disappointing around Fontwell last time out. Siber Mond has shown better form over hurdles than he achieved on the level and any market support should be noted. But for the winner we return to Broken Reed.
