In depth

Verdict

Roby De Cimbre looks the pick in the two mile handicap chase ahead of Eljay's Boy and Orrezzo. The Paul Nicholls-trained selection got the hang of things with a comfortable Fakenham success last time, having fallen on his chasing debut. Although not one of the yard's leading lights, he showed that he has his fair share of ability and with another clear round he can again carry Terry Warner's colours to victory. Eljay's Boy won a couple of fast ground handicap chases over 2m 4f back in 2006 and made a decent seasonal reappearance at Fontwell in May before being thrashed last time. He may have 'bounced' that day and we won't really know for sure until after this race. Orrezzo has done his winning on good ground but has handled it quicker than that and races over his optimum trip. However, along with Lord Jay Jay and O'Toole he looks to be in the grip of the handicapper at present and for the winner we will side with Roby De Cimbre.
