A very poor contest can go to Are You There, with Lanos and Stormingmichaelori put up as two possibles for the frame. Suffice to say, bets are best kept to the absolute minimum in this dreadful selling contest, and only a modest vote goes to Are You There. Colin Tizzard's six-year-old was a winning sprinter on the Flat for David Barron four years ago, but failed to add to her record when stepped up in trip, including during a spell in the Channel Islands. However, since changing stables and having her attention switched to hurdles, the mare has shown a small glimmer of ability, and actually ran quite well in a visor at Uttoxeter a fortnight ago. Without being too unkind to the rest here, she has been found what looks a perfect opportunity to come good for current connections. Lanos has slipped down the weights, and will be all the better for his belated return to action at Bangor, while Stormingmichaelori is still a maiden, both on the level and over jumps, but has a bit more scope than some of the others. The market should be noted for a possible gamble, but we are happy to rely on Are You There.
