A competitive field goes to post for this handicap chase and many would have chances on there best form. However we will take a chance on Perange. The gelding from the Paul Nicholls yard was pulled up on his debut this season, however that was over an inadequate trip of two miles. Prior to that he had won in good style over two miles five at Newton Abbot and now he is stepped up to a more suitable trip he will be hard to beat with Nick Williams taking off a handy seven pounds. Ashley Muck rates the main danger he was a fair second behind Tacolino last time and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close. However he has not always impressed with his attitude and for that reason he is opposed on this occasion. Red Guard is another that is worthy of consideration but he does not always find as much as is expected off the bridle and he was very disappointing in first time blinkers last time. Power Unit is at the top of his game at the moment but all his best form is over two miles and he has to prove he stays this far. Of the remainder Something Dandy looks to be on a fair mark but he has a 63 day absence to overcome while. Suspendid has become disappointing of late.
