      Verdict

Not the easiest of races to solve with 24 runners to chose from and what can only be a tentative vote goes to Dunkerron, who gets the verdict over Dunraven and Simoski. The selection bounced back to form when making all to win in similar company at Huntingdon last month and still looks well treated on old form off just a 7lb higher mark. Dunraven is a consistent performer and should again be thereabouts but remains a shade high in the weights at present and a bigger danger may prove to be the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Simoski. The lightly raced six-year-old is open to improvement after just seven starts and, with his stable in much better form now, he could be interesting off a nice racing weight. Aleemdar has been given a chance by the handicapper and has a good conditional booked but recent evidence suggests he will not be good enough. A market mover for Midnight Coup would be of interest.
