Not a race that will take much winning and the vote goes to Royal Prodigy to make a winning debut over timber at the main expense of Allude and Teorban. The Martin Pipe-trained gelding was disappointing on his latest start on the level when hanging badly in the closing stages to suggest there was something amiss. However, the four-year-old had shown a respectable level of form previously, which marks him as the one to beat in an ordinary event. Allude has had plenty of chances over timber and is beginning to look exposed. Charlie Mann's charge could prove vulnerable to an above average newcomer while Teorban shaped with some ability on his sole start over timber to date but looks booked for minor honours on this occasion.
